    WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is the process where a sterile single-use small metal hand tool also known as a pen with disposable very fine needles (much smaller than tattoo pins) is used to deposit pigment to create crisp fine hair-like strokes into the upper layer of the skin.

WHY SHOULD I GET IT DONE?

Having your eyebrows micro bladed saves time and frustration. Your brows will look ready and made-up 24/7. You won't need to draw on your brows anymore. Anyone who has over plucked their brows, has thin or grey brows, has gaps or scars where hair has not grown, has very fair hair, or needs help shaping their brows will benefit from microblading. Even persons who have suffered hair loss from a medical condition or medical side effect such as chemotherapy can greatly benefit from reconstructing the appearance of natural looking eyebrows.

    DOES IT HAVE OTHER NAMES?

Yes! Around the world Microblading is also known as 3D Brows, 6D Brows, Eyebrow Embroidery, Feathering, Feathered Brows, Floating Brows just to name a few. There are many interchangeable names for Eyebrow Microblading.

    WHAT IS THE PIGMENT?

We only use American made, hypo-allergenic pigment to implant into the skin. Our top quality pigments are an iron oxide suspended a safe non-reactive substance of distilled water and glycerin. The pigment lotions are specifically manufactured for implantation into human skin.
During your consultation we will color match the pigment to your skin type and existing brow color, hair and eye color to ensure the best possible match for your features and desired results.
The International Institute of Permanent Cosmetics Pigments were developed by and for Permanent Cosmetics Technicians that once applied to the skin, maximize color retention and minimize the need for frequent touch-ups. The viscous colors are comprised of the same ingredients used in traditional cosmetic brands such as Lancome, MAC and Dior, so you know you're getting a high level of quality. Each bottle of pigment is also marked with accurate lot numbers, expiration dates and are hermetically sealed for increased safety assurance. These pigments can generally last 12 to 18 months, however results will vary depending on your exposure to sun, lifestyle and resistance to pigment.

    WILL IT HURT?

Before we begin the procedure, and while we discuss shape, style and answer any other questions you might have, a pre-numbing anesthetic cream is applied to prepare the skin. A mid-procedure liquid anesthetic is continually applied to decrease any pain or discomfort that you may feel during the procedure. Depending on the depth and intensity of color requested, most people are comfortable to go out in public immediately after the procedure or for extra thick brows or people with very sensitive skin types, within 2-5 days.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT?

You do not need to book a consultation before your appointment as we first make sure you are a suitable candidate for the procedure before confirming your appointment and processing the booking deposit. At the time of your appointment the numbing cream is applied and while that stats to take effect we discuss desired shape, bone structure color, personal preferences and answer any questions you might have. You can let us know what your personal goals are and we will also make suggestions on what best suits your face shape, features, skin, hair and eye color and natural hair growth patterns.  After precisely measuring your brows, we outline the shape on your face with a special wax pencil so that you can see the planned shape and style to make sure you are 100% satisfied before we start the procedure. It is during this point that we can make minor adjustments and ensure that the numbing agent is effective. We then use the microblading tool to make hair like stokes in and around the brow with the pigment.

HOW ARE MY BROWS MEASURED AND SHAPED?

We measure and shape the brows using the Golden Ratio Technique, also known as the Golden Rule, or Golden Mean, which is a numerical ratio that is considered to be aesthetically beautiful in nature, art and architecture. This ratio was used by historical masters such as Da Vinci, Pythagoras, Plato to name just  a few. We also shape your brows according to your bone structure, natural hair growth patterns, facial features, personal style, and even your age! Properly executed correct brow shape and length can take years off your appearance.
After we have measured and outlined your brow shape with the special wax pencil you will see the design and have the opportunity to adjust the shape to make sure it is exactly what is best for you. Working together to achieve your desired shape is an integral part of the process.

    HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The entire process takes approximately 2 hours, this depends on design, skin type, sensitivity, color intensity and depth, question and answers, and after care instruction consultation.

    IS IT SAFE?

Yes, we only use sterile, single-use disposable blades, and thoroughly disinfect all surfaces before and after each client. Disposable hair nets, gloves, protective clothing, procedure equipment is used and blades are appropriately disposed of in a State Approved sharps container. We hold current Body Art, Blood Borne Pathogen Licenses as well as any other state required certifications and insurances.

    WILL IT LOOK NATURAL?

Yes, we are very strict on creating and simulating hair strokes that perfectly match your natural brow color and shape. Immediately after the procedure the color will look strong and dark for the first 1-2 weeks. During the healing process, this color will fade and lose approximately 20-30% of its color intensity and thickness, finally healing into a natural looking shade and shape.

    CAN MEN DO IT TOO?

Of course! Men deserve brows on fleek too! We work closely with each client to ensure that a natural result is achieved.

    WHAT IS THE DOWN TIME?

Most people can immediately go about their day as soon as the procedure is completed. There usually is no swelling or redness or bleeding after the procedure. Of course this can vary from person to person depending on sensitivity but generally you will not need to take any time off work or your personal commitments. As outlined in our after-care  instructions, you will need to take time off gym, swimming, tanning and a few other activities while the brows properly heal.
